A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

An eccentric inventor successfully created the first true perpetual motion machine - the catch? Its computer only runs on poems.
Balance the contraption's fuel generation system with a set of carefully chosen verses and achieve infinite energy!

Keep the basin full of fuel bubbles. Keep the colour ratios in balance so that the bubble machines have enough fuel.
Your only input is editing 3 poems.

Instructions:

Play through the intro first. Once you reach the "Poems" (grid of words), you've entered the core gameplay loop.

  1. In the bottom left corner, press execute poem to start the bubbles
  2. Also in the bottom left corner, you can switch to a better view of the vat
  3. Edit the words in the menu, and try to puzzle out how this changes the bubbles. Tooltips on the columns give hints about this.
  4. Refuel with the button in the bottom left corner if the wands are hungry (not producing bubbles; empty colour jars below them)
  5. Edit the words to achieve perpetual motion (no more need for manual refuelling). Each wand eats bubbles of the colour in its jar, so make sure enough pure colours are produced to keep each from getting hungry.
  6. Edit the words to tweak the colour balance to raise the perfection factor (bottom right in machine view)
